Soul Coughing's "Screenwriter's Blues" was in my head during the whole trip, my first to Los Angeles. On our first evening, we ventured through the signs and pillars to shattered and fulfilled dreams towards a trail leading up over Hollywood with an inspiring 360 degree view of Southern California. Nature rules. Oh, and we saw Kevin Bacon the next day and peed our pants.
