black pearl portland groom wedding

Two men who've loved each other for over a decade, and they hosted a lovely celebration for their friends and family. Held at the Black Pearl, overlooking the Columbia River, and being the magnificent hosts that they are, they cut and served the cake to their guests.

Coordinated by Jenah at YPB. Florals by Red's Creations, delicious morsels by Mad Hatter, and the architecturally on point cake by Dream Cakes.

mt hood organic farms colorful joyful wedding

Lots of debates about first looks vs walking down the aisle moments and after being a wedding photographer for more than 15 years, I know that you can't really forecast the moment. But this bride's goal was for her groom to weep when she came down the aisle and it happened with joy and laughter. Magic is magic, planned or not. You, dear reader, already know how I feel about Mt Hood Organic Farms, so to have all that sweetness and sounds of cackles and chuckles and ballyhoo happening ALL day around that farm just made everything glow.

Coordinated by Kristen at Mt Hood Organic Farms, who will always go above and beyond with love, food that I always eat too much of by Ginger of Cultivate Catering, and Florals by the sweetest Hood River local, Lucy of Lucy's Informal Flowers.
