Can I do a surprise proposal in a state that is NOT Oregon? In a state where I don’t know all the secret hiding places? Yes! I can stalk anyone from anywhere. Please don’t report me. I had so much fun scouting spots and traipsing around in the Colorado snow for these two lovely people, such an adventure! In the heart of the Columbia Gorge, at the Cascade Locks Marine Park, these two celebrated each other with vows, toasts, and being tossed in the air. Literally. So. High. In. The. Air.

Florals by Bloomsbury. Being the Columbia Gorge, the weather also decided to be unpredictable. We had to change lots of portrait plans last minute due to the downpours, and low heavy clouds, but I was able to find some really pretty spots that kept us covered. If you’re getting married in Oregon, you gotta be ok with the weather gods! I think the Bridge of the Gods (seen behind them) had something to do with it.

Family from Japan, celebrating with family in the U.S. in Portland OR at the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden. From a surprise viewing of well-wishes from friends all over the world, to the bridesmaids singing and dancing to Totoro songs, to her Dad singing them a song at evening’s end, this wedding was so full of moments of laughter, goofiness, and happy tears.
