Welcome to the rainy part of the Northwest Wedding Season!  I'll be your host for the evening.  I don't mind the rain and I love that Erin and Brian were super flexible.  The rain prevented a wedding ceremony on the waterfront, but it didn't stop us from doing a few portraits down near the Hawthorne bridge with umbrellas and Erin's big black stompin' boots.  The wedding reception was held at the World Trade Center and the yellow-themed florals by Flowers in Flight.  We also made a photobooth (thanks so much to Ashley for encouraging people to be weird)!

shenica & jordan

I really don't mind shooting weddings on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii, especially with such an amazingly kind couple like Shenica & Jordan.  They rented a house right on the beach with their immediate family.  The ONLY downside was the hundreds of jellyfish that washed up on shore.  But we were all perfectly content to enjoy the view.  Thanks to Ashley for having me along!

I've been excited about photographing Jillian & Stevenmikel's wedding for a long time, because they've just got this connection that makes me happy.  Held at Ferrier Creek Nursery in Hubbard, Oregon, their details were creative and cute.  I loved their donation table idea which encouraged guests to donate towards important causes.  I got another chance to work with the fantastic Laurie at A Bride's Best Friends, and the beautiful florals arranged by Heather at Summersweet. Not many weddings are walking distance from my house.  And not many parks are as beautiful as Cathedral Park in North Portland.  All of us who live here know it.  Kate and Chris especially know it and I LOVED being at their wedding.  So much laughter and such great family.  Gorgeous flowers by Anna Mara, unbelievable food by Din Din, and the reception was held at The Plant in SE Portland.
