I met Charlie down in Hillsboro for an engagement session, and THEN this cute couple, Tonya & Matt shows up! I thought it would be confusing to do an engagement session just for a dog. They were great and we had such a good time. I brought Ashley along to not only get some great additional shots but I wanted a portrait of me making out with Charlie (last pic). Pancake mission accomplished.
Cheryl & Wade were magical. We met up at the Bluehour (their first date) and I just happened to ask the waiter if we could grab a few shots (photos, silly) at a particular table and that particular table just happened to be the very table they had sat a year ago. Magic. Also magic: Getting into the Portland Institute of Contemporary Art (PICA) after hours. Shhhhh. Even more magic? These two just being together makes me smile and laugh because they are funny, and silly, and romantic. Many beautiful years ahead for these two....
So, Jen & Matt pretty much laughed and had fun with each other the entire shoot. I just happened to be there. Can.Not.Wait.For.Their.Wedding.Com.
As a photographer, it's always a privilege to be invited into people's lives and share in their relationships. Andrea and Taylor have such an an incredible bond and I hope these photos help do it justice. We met up at the Sandy River Delta to amazing sunlight and took our time walking around enjoying some Vitamin D. Andrea taught me the ASL sign for "light" which I will use frequently, if for no other reason than to think of how much fun we had at this portrait session.
