The little one's first trip to the islands. I think she liked the ocean, and warmth, and sunsets, and geckos, and shave ice, and music, and mangos and pineapples the most. Photographed on the Fujifilm XT-1 and an iPhone 6 in a Lifeproof case.

lake louise road trip

I've wanted to do this road trip for many years. My parents actually did a similar trip when I was 1.5 years old, so it was even better to take my own .5 year old. We journeyed up from Portland via Coeur d'Alene to Lake Louise and then back through Golden and the Yoho and Glacier National Parks. Along the way we saw grizzly bears, had high tea at the Fairmont on Lake Louise, hiked Johnston Canyon, road a gondola, visited Lake Louise, Lake Moraine, Bow Lake, and Peyto Lake (at sunset), Maple learned to crawl, and we drove 26 hours for it. Canada is incredible and I discovered I have the best travel baby.
